View from Portstewart Strand

Painted on a trip to the north coast in July 2021, I had forgotten just how stunning the scenery is in this part of Ireland.  I spent several days painting, from Ballintoy across to Portstewart and would have stayed longer if I could.  This painting depicts a typical summer scene when looking out from Portstewart Strand – a scene which hasn’t changed very much in decades.
