Woods at Lisdrumgullion

Lisdrumgullion is a townland at the northern end of Newry town.  Any district in Ireland with ‘lis’ or ‘lios’ in the title suggests there was once an ancient earthen fort in the area, or might still be.  I chose to make reproductions of this work as it represents a new painting style for me – and reminded me that I should spend more time painting trees.
