Looking East from Gortahork

When you look east from the district of Gortahork, you see The Derryveagh Mountains.  The biggest mountain range in County Donegal and best viewed along the road between Gweedore and Gortahork (Field of Oats in Irish).  I began this painting at the roadside one afternoon and got it finished just as a rain shower came over – you don’t hang around when painting in Donegal.
